The H.O.M.E Program (Helping Our Men Emerge)
Supporting Fathers. Rebuilding Lives.
The H.O.M.E Program is a lifeline for custodial fathers in Connecticut facing homelessness. Through safe housing and wraparound support, RBS helps men transition from crisis to stability—empowering them to care for their children and rebuild strong family foundations.
Program Features:
- Temporary transitional living for single and custodial fathers
- Financial literacy and workforce readiness training
- Parenting support and life skills development
- Access to counseling, health services, and community resources
Impact:
Fathers in the H.O.M.E Program not only gain housing—they gain hope, self-sufficiency, and the confidence to lead their families forward.
Annual Fatherhood Health and Wellness Summit
Because Health Is a Family Matter
The Fatherhood Health Summit was created to promote men’s physical and mental wellness, with a focus on preventative care and education for men of color who are often underserved in healthcare systems.
Program Highlights:
- Free health screenings and workshops
- Conversations with medical professionals and wellness experts
- Sessions on mental health, fitness, and nutrition
- Awareness campaigns for conditions like prostate cancer, hypertension, and heart disease
Goal:
To inspire men to take charge of their health—because strong fathers mean strong families.
Annual Restoration & Brotherhood Retreat
A Space for Healing, Growth, and Connection
The Annual Restoration & Brotherhood Retreat provides men of color with a safe, supportive environment to reflect, recharge, and reconnect. It’s a weekend dedicated to holistic wellness—offering the tools to strengthen mind, body, and spirit.
Retreat Highlights:
- Group discussions and emotional healing workshops
- Guided meditation and mindfulness sessions
- Physical activities like hiking, yoga, and sports
- Networking with mentors and community leaders
Why It Matters:
Men often carry the weight of family and community responsibilities silently. This retreat gives them space to be seen, heard, and restored.
Youth Media & Family Development Programs
Inspiring the Next Generation
RBS continues its legacy of empowering youth through creative education and mentorship. By teaching media literacy and content creation, young participants learn to express themselves, think critically, and make positive contributions to their communities.
