Resources

The Fatherhood Resource Hub is a community-based initiative created by Reality Based Services to support fathers and strengthen families throughout Greater Waterbury. Developed through feedback from fathers, families, and community stakeholders, the Hub serves as a one-stop resource center where fathers can access support, complete a needs assessment, and connect to resources that help them overcome challenges and remain actively engaged in the lives of their children.

Coming Soon: How We’re Building It

The Hub is designed to help fathers bridge temporary gaps during difficult times by providing access to food and grocery assistance

  • Diapers and baby essentials
  • Clothing and hygiene products
  • School supplies
  • Employment and workforce referrals
  • Health and wellness referrals
  • Parenting and fatherhood resources
  • Connections to community services and supports

Our goal is simple: to ensure that no father has to face life’s challenges alone.

The Fatherhood Resource Hub is also a judgment-free space. Through community conversations and our Fatherhood Talkback Series, many fathers shared that they often need help but are reluctant to ask for it out of fear of being judged, misunderstood, or viewed as incapable of providing for their families.

The Hub was created to change that narrative by offering fathers a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where they can seek assistance, access resources, and receive support with dignity. By providing practical resources, meaningful connections, and a supportive environment, the Fatherhood Resource Hub helps fathers remain stable, engaged, and empowered. The Hub not only benefits individual fathers and families—it strengthens neighborhoods, builds community resilience, and supports Waterbury’s vision of becoming the most father-friendly city in Connecticut.

When fathers are supported, families are strengthened. When families are strengthened, communities thrive. To help us sustain the Resource Hub Please Donate Today. If you have gently used or new items, you are willing to provide, please do not hesitate to arrange a drop off or pick.
